George Dennis is a managing member of Parous Energy, LLC, an independent oil and gas investment company based in Madison, MS. He graduated from Millsaps College where he majored in Biology. He began his career in the oil and gas industry working for Eagleton Engineers, a petroleum engineering firm in 1976. In 1979 Mr. Dennis joined Cities Service Company in the land department. In 1981 Mr. Dennis formed Central Petroleum, Inc., a petroleum exploration and production company, whose primary focus was in acquiring large lease and mineral spreads in frontier areas and promoting exploration on these plays. In 2005 Mr. Dennis formed Parous Energy, LLC, an independent energy company engaged in acquisition, exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas in the United States.

Billy Powell works with Parous Energy, LLC as a consulting petroleum reservoir engineer. Mr. Powell is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. Mr. Powell specializes in oil and gas reservoir engineering. In his early career he worked for Texaco and Ashland Oil Company before going to work for Deposit Guaranty National Bank of Jackson, MS, now Regions Bank, heading up their energy lending department where he oversaw billions of dollars in loans to oil and natural gas producers. In the early 1980’s Mr. Powell became chief engineer and exploration manager for Clayton W. Williams Energy Company, a publicly traded oil and natural gas exploration and production company. Mr. Powell has been a full time independent oil and natural gas producer since 1986. He recently completed a six year term on the State of Mississippi Ethics Commission.

Susan Hinton has worked as executive assistant and lead accountant for Central Petroleum, Inc. and Parous Energy, LLC since 2003. Susan is experienced in oil and gas accounting, insurance and banking. She is an invaluable member of our team.
